Very good rooms for price and beautiful location right across from the beach. Many restaurants within a few minutes walk, and a nice open lobby. Very cute cat that wanders around the lobby as well. Hotel staff very helpful in scheduling taxis, both to the bus/van stations and also arranging for a private driver to take me around the national park. Everyday staff gives you two bottles of water, extra shampoo/soap, toilet paper, and napkins.

Together with my online booking I requested a certain room location and they gave me a room exactly as wanted - the best room in the hotel for my needs. Not all hotels honour special requests like that. The room in building 2 is not small, useful, practical in most regards (for instance, light switches and plugs on both sides next to the bed) and doesn't try to be historical or very Thai. The hot shower works very well and the aircon is powerful and rather quiet. The balcony has no furniture at all, but a fixture to dry your laundry. There is big private parking and often I even got a covered parking space. The hotel with two big buildings feels a little impersonal, but reception was friendly and made several phone calls for me. In the dark hours you should use reception in house 1, the night reception in house 2 does not know much.

Clean rooms, always friendly staff. Best location in the city. Big and safe parking space for cars. Great breakfast at Grandma's just a 1 minute walk.
